submit their deviation, which should be a scene for the story, including characters and background, in some way relating to the previous scene and moving on the plot.
If more than one person does a 'next in sequence' image to a previous one, that is no problem, as it merely means there are multiple possiblilities for what happens next. In fact you can do a 'next in sequence' for any stage in the story so that it can branch off and go in another direction if you wish. That's the beauty of it! There is no need for the whole thing to be linear like a convential book, it can fan out (or be like a choose-your-own-adventure book). Thus if you don't like a particular 'next in sequence' piece, you can go back to a scene that does inspire you and carry on an alternative plot from there.

RULES
1.
The only strict requirement is to give a link to the ' previous in sequence', and to go back to that previous deviation, and edit the description to include a link to your 'next in sequence', so that viewers can navigate through the visual story as though turning the pages. If there is already a 'next in sequence', put 'next in sequence, option 2/3/4' etc. and give your link.
2.
Try to keep the images fairly consistent. They don't need to be masterpieces, but I am looking for fairly well finished line drawings, possibly shaded, including figures and scenery, rather like in a storyboard for a film. The theme may be anything fantasy. Dark and adult content is permited within reason (DA guidelines).
3.
NO anime/chibbi/manga. Fairly realistic styles are preferred, if you please.
4.
Try to give the next person somewhere to go. Dramatic potential and cliff hangers are all the better.
5.
If you want to be a contributing participants, log in, edit the journal and leave your avatar below, and include the avatar of this site (or a link to it) in your journal.
6.
Don't stay logged in too long, as someone else might be trying to get on to submit something.
7. Make sure you include who you are in the description of your submissions, so we know who did what.
8.
You may also submit things like character concept sketches etc, not directly part of the story.
9. Any problems, questions, suggestions, ask on the front page, or note :devdashinvane:
10. Enjoy it!
11. By submitting artwork here you implicitly give permission for other artists to reproduce your characters.
12. Please only post two scenes in a row if nothing new has been added for three weeks since the first one.
